Plastinord: a dynamic firm.
Plastinord was born in 1970 as a firm operating in the plastic material sector. Since 1980 Plastinord developed its own production in the nylon technopolymer sector with great care for research and acquisition of forefront plants. In this sector the firm is able to meet any kind of need as far as the injection moulding is concerned, thus offering a wide range of strengthened, coloured and self-extinguishing products. Plastinord is able to work out specific solutions for particular technical applications and meet the customer’s requirements. Firm philosophy moved towards this direction: on one hand they invested in the laboratory research and on the other one they set up an efficient and dynamic commercial network of officers and representatives of its own, thus bringing the firm and the ultimate consumer into a constant contact.


Control and quality.
In order to offer a constant quality Plastinord has equipped a lab where incoming materials are analysed and checked and their chemical and physical features are singled out. By means of this research the firm is able to work out high-grade products with particular technical applications that can be implemented through a strict and effective co-operation between research laboratory and direct consumer. New compounds on a customer scale lead to experimental production and to a strict inspection of the chemical and physical features obtained. At this point only it is possible to enter the industrial production, granted by an accurate quality control during the whole production cycle by means of modern process and lab tests.

Research and production
At the beginning of the nineties Plastinord decided to concentrate its investments on a series of relevant modifications, applying new forefront technologies to production plants aimed at granting a specific working of nylon compounds. Thanks to modern twin-screw plants, the firm is able to meet and satisfy in short time even large quantities requests.



Polymers: properties and applications

Plastinord is specialised in preparing and compounding polyamide resins. Polyamide is a thermoplastic material having good mechanic and thermal features. Its properties are the following ones: crystallisation ability and very good performances as for toughness, excellent resistance to chemical agents and its highest melting point enabling to employ it at high temperatures, too. The electric features of nylon, properly strengthened, enable to use it under good insulation conditions. The considerable auto-extinguishing properties favour a good flame resistance. Therefore the polyamide lends itself to a lot of different applications: in fact it is used to produce technical parts in the engineering, mechanic, car, electronic and furnishing sector. Plastinord places its products at disposal in order to meet specific needs. Besides the production of polyamide 6 -66 reinforced with glass fibres or modified with elastomer , the firm can count on a technical staff and a sophisticated laboratory for special formulations.



Certification and service
In compliance with the main international standards Plastinord is able to issue the certification for each single parcel, on customer’s request. The product Plastinord gives, is packed in such a way as to prevent it from humidity: the user can employ the product for moulding directly, without desiccating it again. Thanks to a capillary commercial network Plastinord is ready to meet any requirement of the customer and to grant a fast distribution and an efficient technical assistance.
